Center Stage: KangTa Wants to Create a Second Generation ‘H.O.T’

Veteran singer KangTa has been out of the music loop for awhile however the balladeer and former idol star will now be serving as a coach on Mnet’s show “VOICE KOREA.”

The singer confessed that doing this program would inspire him to make more music however, in a revelation he stated that he wanted to make a junior H.O.T. instead. He said, “I decided to do the program because I felt that it would further challenge me as a singer,” he continued. “But seeing all these talented, young contestants makes me want to create a junior idol group similar to H.O.T. I too, first debuted in the industry as an idol singer and later released a solo album, wrote my own songs, and slowly built experience… And because there are so many new idols that are debuting these days, I feel like my role as an artist and my place in the industry continues to change. I think this program will serve as an opportunity to invest more time and effort into raising junior rookie singers. And when I choose the teams for Voice Korea, I choose the contestants that I feel could really be my own juniors, and my disciples.”

KangTa also added, “I think unique appeal is very important. More than someone who conforms to the styles and trends of today, I pick those who stand out among the rest and can develop their uniqueness over time. I’ve met a lot of individuals on the show that have these qualities who also sing extremely well. I already have high expectations for them.”

The show – “VOICE OF KOREA” – is a music survival program which most resembles the show “THE VOICE” that was aired last year in the States. The first episode to launch on televised airwaves will be February 10th at 11:00PM KST.

Remember back in November of 2011 when Eunice Kiss dropped a song called “You“? Well, perhaps this will help refresh your memory. The singer is ramping up to give the song a more proper promotion with the release of a music video. Unfortunately, no concrete release date was given, other than the ambiguous promise of “soon”. News: Part of Big Bang’s Track List Has Been Revealed

It looks like G-Dragon and YG’s master producer Teddy are back to their old tricks – making some superb music. Although YG has only released two tracks off the official album – “INTRO (ALIVE)” and “BLUE” – via the YG official blog, it’s still unclear whether they will come back with a mini-album or full length.

In the meantime, Big Bang has been prepping for their annual “BIG SHOW” which will musically conquer three days of Korea – kicking off starting March 2nd at the Gymnastics Stadium in the Olympic Park in Seoul.

News: EXO-K & EXO-M Will Release “WHAT IS LOVE” Single Next Week

SM Entertainment is finally ready to officially drop EXO-K & EXO-M’s debut single – “WHAT IS LOVE” – next week.

The song will be available worldwide including various music portals and even be available to download via iTunes January 30th. EXO-K will do music promotions in Korea while EXO-M will promote the Chinese version in China respectively. EXO members that have been revealed so far are CHEN, LU HAN, TAO, SE HUN, LAY and XIU MIN.

There’s been so many teasers of the group already, we actually can’t wait for the final product.
